Searching for a Sound – Special Edition

This beautiful cloth covered hardback edition of Searching for a Sound has been printed digitally on Fedrigoni Tintoretto Gesso paper and bound by hand. The book cloth has been screen printed with an abstracted dot screen representation of the photograph from the cover of the standard edition, and the front blind debossed with the Muttons & Nuts ampersand. It comes with a slip-case and features a satin bookmark ribbon. Strictly limited edition – only five have been made.

An anthology of writing and art inspired by the music of  This Mortal Coil. Over three albums Ivo Watts-Russell, the founder of 4AD Records, collaborated with the producer John Fryer and musicians on the label to create cover versions of his favourite songs along with incidental atmospheric soundscapes. This anthology features fifteen writers and artists from around the world who have produced fiction, non-fiction, poetry and art as a response to the albums.
